I finally had a REAL vacation! Spent it at the beaches of Caladon Four, of course. My favorite spot. Naturally, I brought a book. “A” book turned into seven! A.K. DuBoff’s Fractured Empire series was a fantastic read.
It spans four generations of epic galactic human struggle, with lots of intrigue and cliffhangers. Halfway through book one, I was already totally invested in the characters. I loved being carried on this journey of discovery, battles, and triumphs. The battles were described in cinematic excellence, and the human interaction was fascinating.
For seven books, it was a quick read, because I couldn’t put it down for long. A.K. DuBoff is rightfully called the Queen of Space Opera.
