Book one is, at it’s heart, it’s a tale of good versus evil. The Star Alliance, the good guys, have a starfighter named Chase. He is the most amazing pilot, but he has a secret even he is unaware of. Driven into exile by the Obsidian Empire, he finds himself on Earth.
Approached by Aphrodite of the Olympic pantheon, she tasks Chase with saving the galaxy. But no story would be complete without a nemesis, and Chase’s bears all the marks of a nefarious villain.
The first book is entertaining, the characters are compelling. The setting is great, mixing galactic adventure with modern-day Earth. Sometimes some of the plot twists were predictable, but it was overall an entertaining read. Plus, if you pick up the box-set you’ll even get a short story about Ryonna, which answers some questions, and is just as fun as the main book.
I’ll let you all know what I think of book 2 shortly.
